Addmision process merchant navy 5-Step Admission Process in Merchant Navy at Siyarams:

Addmision process merchant navy Since the Merchant Navy Education has been centralized in India the procedure comes under the scope of IMU. The admission procedure is only 5-steps easy at Siyarams Shipping Services:

1. Initial Screening

The interested candidates will undergo initial screening for admission.

  • Firstly, our admission counsellor will evaluate the candidate based on the eligibility criteria as defined by D.G. Shipping, Govt. of India.
  • Candidates will be asked questions about their educational qualifications, age, etc. The counsellor will guide candidates about the Merchant Navy and different career options.
  • To continue with the admission procedure, the candidate has to get enrolled by filling out an application form of INR 800/- in favour of “Siyarams  Shipping Serices .”

2. Test & Interview

The purpose of the interview is to assess the adaptability of the candidate to marine life.

  • The candidates who are applying for diploma/degree courses in Merchant Navy have to appear for a written test and an interview.
  • The written test shall be comprised of an objective-type multiple-choice paper to assess the subject knowledge of the candidate and a subjective-type paper to assess the English language skills of the candidate.

3. Counselling

  • The short-listed candidates will be called for counseling, and the admissions officer will guide you about the pre-sea and post-sea training that the candidate is suitable for.

4. Medical Examination

  • Short-listed candidates are required to undergo a medical examination as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000, as amended by a D.G. Shipping-approved doctor.

5. Admission Confirmation

  • The candidates who clear their medical examination will be issued an admission confirmation letter after submission of the admission fee. The balance of the course fee can be paid in instalments on the prescribed dates

  • The sponsorship for onboarding will be provided to you by the company through which you apply only if you have completed a course from the same institute
